BOOK SERIES PET PEEVES

1. HALF AND HALF
When buying on a budget, or when a book is a gifted to you, and you end up with half the series in paperback and the other half in hard back. It's the worst

The symmetry is all off!

2. ONLY OWNING PART OF THE SERIES.
It just leaves this horrible, sinking feeling of being incomplete. Where are the rest of the books? Are they on loan? Are they still at the book store waiting to be picked up? Will the series ever be together again? Or will another great book come out and all money that you have go to that book instead of going to owning the rest of the series you already own?

3. COVER CHANGES.
When you buy the first few books, and then the next book is released with a different cover design. UGH AGAIN THE AESTHETICS OF IT ALL IS JUST JANKED UP TO NO END! Never, ever, ever do the mid series cover switch. It's totally fine to finish a series, and then re-do the covers... but when a person already owns the first few books, and you switch up the cover designs on them and don't offer further designs in the style they already have... *eye twitch* there will be hell to pay. You will rue this day Carly Shay!

4. HEIGHT DIFFERENCES.
I bought the Harry Potter series at a used book store for a killing. The covers matched. They were all hardback and in great condition. Only problem is THIS STUPID DIP RIGHT HERE-

Here's another equally alarming aesthetic atrocity-

  1. So many of these are so true! Especially the ones about owning only one book in the series and the book height difference! I know the last one is really nitpicky, but I like having all the books in symmetrical order :P

    1. Yes exactly! For me, symmetry is very important. I don't care if I own a series in paperback or hardback. All that matters is that they match xD
